He set the bar high for the rest of the riders in his first run scoring an incredible 93.50. His second run wasn’t what he wanted, so it all came down to his final ride. He was the last of the night, and as TJ Lavin said while commentating, “He could either be the hero or the zero in this run.” The pressure was on, and to make matters worse, he collided with another rider on the course just before his final run. He nailed it, but had to wait to see what the judges thought. The average of his 2 best scores put him in 3rd for the Orlando stop and gave him enough points to clinch the overall Dew Cup.
This is Cam’s first ever Dew Cup win, and he’ll be the first to tell you it’s been his dream to come to the U.S., compete, and win since he was a little kid growing up in Australia. Cam has had an amazing season. He started it off my winning RedBull Elevation in Mexico, one of the biggest dirt jump contests , podiumed in 4 of the 5 Dew Tour stops, and now he’s taking home the Dew Cup. Great job, Cam! You nailed it! Congratulations!
